Core Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budget analyses.
- Ensure all financial data complies with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures as required.
- Assist with payroll preparation and data entry for part-time staff.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software is required; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
