Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations for bank statements and credit cards.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor information, and ensure timely payments while tracking outstanding receivables.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, trial balances, and P&L analysis.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll entries and assist with payroll tax filings as required.
- Record Keeping: Organize and file financial documents, receipts, and invoices to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and staff.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
