Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and generate financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing for small business clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and general audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related fields.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
