Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for small to medium-sized businesses using QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial status and account inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
