We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations, managing daily transactions, and ensuring our accounts are up to date. Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and preparation of payroll tax filings.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Organize and file physical and digital financial documents and records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
