Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing for small to medium-sized clients.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and quarterly reports.
- Process invoices and manage expense reporting systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial inquiries and statements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic tax preparation procedures.
