Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Process and code invoices and expense reports efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns as required by state regulations.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are balanced.
- Assist with payroll processing and year-end tax preparation support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
