Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor payments
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly
- Prepare financial reports including P&L statements and balance sheets
- Maintain organized digital financial records in QuickBooks Online
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits
- Collaborate with CPA for tax preparation and financial strategy
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and Alaska tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Relevant certifications (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) preferred
