Join our dynamic finance team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper at Metro Financial Group. We're seeking a meticulous professional to manage our financial operations with precision and integrity. This flexible 20-hour/week role offers hybrid work (3 days in-office, 2 remote) and is perfect for detail-oriented individuals passionate about maintaining accurate financial records. You'll be instrumental in supporting our growing client portfolio across the Minneapolis metro area.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor communications
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis
- Assist with quarterly tax preparations and audits
- Implement and improve bookkeeping workflows using QuickBooks Online
- Monitor cash flow and prepare bank reconciliations weekly
- Support month-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (Advanced Functions)
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
- Strong attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with multi-currency transactions a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
