Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with payroll processing for small business clients, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax preparation support.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero is required; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
