- Manage and reconcile accounts payable/receivable with 100% accuracy
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax filings
- Maintain general ledger and financial reporting systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Implement efficient bookkeeping processes using QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with tax professionals during peak seasons
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of Illinois tax regulations and payroll laws
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly desirable
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
