Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are accurately recorded and payments are made on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing for small business clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are classified correctly according to GAAP standards.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation by gathering necessary documentation and schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas) is essential.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
