You'll work directly with our CFO to ensure seamless financial operations while gaining exposure to diverse industries. This hybrid role offers 2 remote days/week with in-office collaboration in our downtown DC office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous accuracy
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow statements
- Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses
- Handle bank reconciliations and ensure transaction integrity
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with tax preparers for quarterly filings
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and DC tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Proven experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Relevant certification (e.g., CB) preferred
