- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with strict adherence to deadlines
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client reviews
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for 5-10 clients
- Implement QuickBooks cloud solutions for remote accessibility
- Conduct month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Provide proactive financial insights to support client decision-making
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record with multi-client bookkeeping workflows
- Familiarity with NYC sales tax regulations and compliance
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly valued
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
