Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, for multiple clients.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements.
- Process payroll and handle employee tax filings (1099s/W-2s) with precision.
- Reconcile credit card statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax preparation and filing support.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to update and maintain financial data.
- Prepare and send invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid environment.
