Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and financial audits.
- Organize and file financial documents to ensure compliance and easy access.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their account status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
