Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts weekly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with attention to vendor/client relationships
- Prepare monthly financial statements and profit/loss reports
- Manage payroll processing for 10-15 small business clients
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and tax documentation
- Implement QuickBooks solutions for new client onboarding
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with GAAP standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record of reconciling high-volume transactions
- Strong understanding of Massachusetts sales tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation a plus
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
