Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with timely invoice tracking
- Prepare financial statements including profit/loss and balance sheets
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for 15+ employees
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audit preparations
- Implement QuickBooks optimizations for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
- Expertise in Louisiana sales tax compliance
- Strong attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
