Join our dynamic finance team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper and become the backbone of our clients' financial health. We're seeking a meticulous professional to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of small to mid-sized businesses in the Kansas City metro area. This flexible role offers remote work options with occasional in-office collaboration at our downtown location.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll preparation
- Generate financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client reviews
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for transaction recording and reporting
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and tax document preparation
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial compliance
- Provide financial analysis and support to business owners
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and payroll tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (CPA or Bookkeeper) preferred
