Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable entries accurately and on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for select clients and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly close procedures.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their account inquiries and document requests.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small business or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
