Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions weekly
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with quarterly payroll processing
- Generate financial reports for client review and analysis
- Manage digital filing systems ensuring compliance with HMRC standards
- Collaborate with senior accountants on month-end closing procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping (minimum 2 years)
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification essential
- Proficient in Xero and QuickBooks accounting software
- Strong understanding of UK tax regulations and VAT compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
