Responsibilities
- Cash Handling: Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments while maintaining strict cash control procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and professional experience for all walk-in and phone-in customers, answering inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Transactions: Cash checks and issue money orders, traveler’s checks, and savings bonds according to bank policies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Security: Adhere to all security and compliance regulations to protect the bank and customer assets.
- Referrals: Identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products and refer customers to Relationship Bankers when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous cash handling and customer service experience is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash accurately under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Technology: Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
- Integrity: A high level of trustworthiness and adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
