Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and authorization before posting to the general ledger.
- Manage vendor relations, including answering inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Prepare and distribute monthly vendor statements and ensure timely payments.
- Assist in month-end close processes by compiling necessary AP reports.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register and perform periodic audits.
- Utilize accounting software to track accounts payable aging and resolve overages.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related financial role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or BlackLine) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
