Role Overview
In this position, you will be the gatekeeper of our outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every transaction. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a detail-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for AP records.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Prepare check runs and electronic fund transfers (EFTs).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
