Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Process accounts payable/receivable and maintain accurate transaction records
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for departmental reporting
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Collaborate with tax professionals to support compliance requirements
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/Excel) for data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with part-time flexibility
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, and accounting software systems
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines independently while collaborating in team settings
- New Mexico residency required (in-state candidates preferred)
