Responsibilities
- General Ledger Administration: Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile bank accounts to ensure data integrity and transparency.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and managing expense reports for the finance department.
- Tax Preparation: Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to gather documentation and facilitate the annual tax filing process.
- Budget Analysis: Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and provide insights into variances.
- Compliance: Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) is mandatory.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to detect errors and ensure high levels of accuracy in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Schedule: Must be available for 20-25 hours per week with flexibility during month-end close.
