Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all account variances are resolved promptly.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist with monthly payroll processing and quarterly tax filings.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date general ledger records and documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to GAAP and local regulations.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Support the finance team with budget analysis and special projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s degree is preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Availability: Able to commit to 15-25 hours per week with consistent availability.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and confidentiality.
