Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly and year-end closing procedures.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger reports to ensure all data is accurate.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and timely.
- Internal Audits: Conduct routine internal audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track financial data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Excel Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
