Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and file various tax documents, including W-2s and 1099s, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Support the payroll process by verifying hours and calculating deductions accurately.
- Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and generate necessary reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory for this part-time role.
