Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
- Process payroll for employees and ensure tax filings are completed accurately.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist with financial audits and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
