We are looking for a skilled and reliable Part-Time Accountant to join our growing finance department in London. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and management accounts.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees.
- Monitor expenses and assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (Part-time experience considered).
- Hold a professional qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax laws, including Corporation Tax and PAYE.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
