Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Support the tax preparation process by gathering necessary documentation and data.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring all tax withholdings are accurate.
- Maintain and organize financial records, files, and documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial inquiries and account statuses.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, typically 20-25 hours per week.
