Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements with high accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with local and federal accounting standards (GAAP).
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for small to medium-sized clients on a bi-weekly basis.
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients to answer financial inquiries and explain complex data in simple terms.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Excel Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling financial data and tax documents.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
