Your Impact:
As a key member of our finance department, you will ensure our financial operations run smoothly while adhering to all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain General Ledger: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with Taxes: Support the tax team in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring all deductions and withholdings are calculated correctly.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
