Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and the preparation of payroll tax reports as needed.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations.
- Client Support: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software is required. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
