Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports for review by management.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns (PA specific) for our small business clients.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and track accounts receivable efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with GAAP and local Pennsylvania regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect errors and ensure accuracy in high-volume data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Availability: Must be available to work 15-25 hours per week, including some flexibility for end-of-month deadlines.
