Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Process payroll for a small team of part-time staff members.
- Perform general ledger maintenance and account coding.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting.
