Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are accurate and compliant.
- Support the annual tax preparation process by gathering necessary documentation and working with external tax professionals.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Perform general financial audits and assist in budget preparation for departmental projects.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
