Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for clients.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including gathering necessary documentation and data entry.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis support to clients, helping them understand their financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated experience with financial statement preparation and tax preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
