Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and financial integrity.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations; assist with internal and external audits.
- Tax Support: Gather necessary documentation and schedules to support the external tax preparation process.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial staff.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
