Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist with the annual audit process and tax preparation support.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and perform periodic physical counts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
