Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns and quarterly sales tax filings.
- Conduct routine audits of financial documents to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the training of junior staff and documentation of accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
