Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including verifying invoices and issuing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of tax documents and annual tax filings.
- Support the month-end close process by compiling necessary reports and data.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience (CPA preferred but not required for part-time roles).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
