Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process payroll for non-exempt staff members.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
