Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable management.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage payroll processing for small to medium-sized business clients.
- Assist in tax preparation and ensure all documentation is organized and compliant.
- Monitor financial data and assist in budget forecasting and variance analysis.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (approx. 20-25 hours per week).
