Key Duties:
- Process and reconcile monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings (1099s, W-2s).
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with annual audits and provide requested documentation to external auditors.
- Ensure all financial data is organized and easily accessible.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or small business setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial staff.
