- Assist with month-end closing processes and journal entries
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with Michigan tax regulations
- Conduct financial audits and maintain organized accounting records
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly reviews
- Implement accounting software solutions (QuickBooks proficiency required)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Michigan tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Valid Michigan driver's license (client site visits required)
