Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate financial records by performing daily bookkeeping tasks, reconciling bank accounts, and managing general ledger accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll for a small to medium-sized team, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage invoice processing, vendor relations, and collections to ensure timely payments and revenue recognition.
- Tax Support: Assist the senior tax team in preparing individual and business tax returns during the tax season.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to GAAP standards and company policies.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) to input data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online or desktop software and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, manage multiple deadlines, and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Schedule: Ability to work 15-25 hours per week, preferably during business hours.
