Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing invoices and issuing payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and budgets.
- Update and maintain the general ledger system, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents and ensure compliance with Pennsylvania state regulations.
- Support the senior accounting team with ad-hoc financial analysis and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
