Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Support tax preparation processes and maintain compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special financial projects and audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public/private sector
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software platforms
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment
- Effective communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Part-time availability (Monday-Friday, flexible daytime hours)
